Surface: 36 451 hectares (90 072.38 acres)
Localisation:  The community is located 154 kilometres west of Chibougamau, on the banks of the Waswanipi and Chibougamau rivers.
Remoteness Factor: Year-round road access and located between 50 and 350 kilometres from the nearest service center.

ECONOMY

Economic activities are concentrated primarily in arts and handcraft, commerce and services, forestry, fisheries, trapping, tourism, construction, transport and outfitters.

The territory is home to forty or so businesses, including: post office, forestry, video games, camping, movie rental, bank services, fish transformation, general store, communication corporation, automobile repairs, water, ambulance, gas station and restaurant.
